BEETROOT FRY


INGREDIENTS::
Beetroots                        2
Red chilies                       2(adjust accordingly)
Onion                               1/2 no.
Garlic cloves                    3
Curry leaves                    1 sprig
Chilly powder(optional)    1/2 tsp 
Shredded coconut            3 tbsp
Oil                                   1 tsp
Salt                                  as required
FOR TEMPERING::
Mustard seeds            1 tsp
Cumin seeds               1 tsp
Chana dal                   1 tsp
Urad dal                     1 tsp

PROCEDURE::
1)Take a pan add oil, once hot add the mustard seeds and let it splutter , now add the cumin seeds, chana dal and urad dal.
2)Now add the onion, garlic, red chilies and curry leaves. Saute for 1 minute.

3)Now add the beetroot pieces and salt.
Cover the lid and fry for 4-5 minutes stirring in between.

4)Finally add the chilly powder if u want the spice level to be high. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
This step is always an option.
5)Once the beetroot pieces loses water . Now add shredded coconut and coriander leaves.  

Turn off the heat . Serve along with rice and chapathi.
