QUICK COCONUT CHUTNEY


INGREDIENTS:
Coconut (shredded)                             1/2 cup           
Green chilies                                        4-5(adjust)
Dalia/ putnala pappu                            fistful(5 tsp)
Salt                                                       as needed


FOR TEMPERING:
Oil                                                         1 tbsp
Mustard seeds                                       1 tsp
Urad dal                                                1 tsp
Red chilies                                            1
Curry leaves                                          3-4 leaves


PROCEDURE:
Break the coconut and then scrap the coconut making sure not to take the black part.
1) In a blender add coconut , green chilies, dalia/putnala pappu and salt.
Grind it.

2)Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds once they splutter then add urad dal, red chilies and curry leaves. Saute for 1 minute until the dal changes color.

3) Cool down the tempering then add it to the chutney.( If we add very hot tempering the chutney may get spoiled)
Serve with hot idly , dosa, vada
