VERMICELLI BIRYANI


INGREDIENTS:
Semiya/vermicelli                  2 cups
Onion                                      1 chopped lengthwise
Green chilies                          4
Curry leaves                           1 sprig
Carrots                                    2 small carrots
Green peas                              1/4 cup
Meal maker                             7-8
Ginger-garlic paste                 1 tsp
Biryani leaf                             1 
Cloves                                     3
Cinnamon stick                       1/4 inch
Oil /ghee                                 2 tbsp
Water                                      2 cups
Salt                                          as needed

PROCEDURE:
1) Heat some ghee in a pan and then roast the semiya/vermicelli.

Boil some water then add the meal maker to it. Once they increase in size.
Then remove meal maker from water and squeeze tight removing excess water from it.
Heat oil in a pan, then fry the meal maker.
Take a side onto a paper.
2)Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add the bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cloves.
Saute until the aroma comes now add the onion and green chilies to it.
The onions must be transparent.
Add the ginger- garlic paste and saute till the raw smell leaves it.
3)Now add the vegetables and meal maker pieces to it.
4) Saute all the vegetables until the raw smell leaves them. 
Now add water and salt . Let it boil well.
5) Add the fried vermicelli to the boiling water . Close the lid and let it get cooked in low flame . It  may take around 7-8 minutes.
