MIXED DAL AND OATS PONGANALU


                              I took long brake from blogging. Busy busy days shifting house, packing and then rearranging house. I am so tired to click and post a recipe. I have few of all this dals , left in my pantry . So i thought of making this for breakfast. It took me three days to post it. This is a low oil breakfast/snack with mixed dals and oats. 
                                                         
INGREDIENTS:.
Oats                                                  1 cup
Toor dal                                            1/4 cup
Chana dal                                         1/4 cup
Urad dal                                            1 tbsp
Moong dal                                        1 tbsp
Ginger pieces                                   1 tbsp                                
Red chilies                                       5-6 no.
Jeera                                                 1 tsp
Onion                                               1(medium)                                            
Curry leaves                                     4-5 no.
Coriander leaves                              few
Asefotida                                          1 tsp
Salt                                                   as needed
Oil                                                     1 tbsp

PROCEDURE:
1)Wash and soak all the dals for 4-5 hours. ( i soaked it overnight)

2)In a blender add oats, red chilies and ginger pieces.
Grind it into fine powder. Take it aside.

3)Now remove the water from the dals. Then grind it into smooth paste.

4)Add the grinded oats, dal into a bowl . Add chopped onions, chopped curry leaves and salt.
Mix well.
5) Grease the pan with little oil. Pour the batter upto 3/4 level(once it cooks it will increase in size)

6)Cook till done. Turn it to the other side. 
Serve with chutney.
