CUMIN SEEDS/JEERA CRACKERS
INGREDIENTS:
Maida/All purpose flour 1 cup
Jeera/cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Curd 2 tbsp
Ghee 3 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Kasoori methi 1-2 tbsp(optional)
Water 1 tbsp
Salt as needed
PROCEDURE:
1) Dry roast the cumin seeds/jeera till we smell nice aroma.
Cool down and crush the jeera with the help of roller/prestol.
2) In a bowl add maida/all purpose flour, ghee, salt, yogurt and black pepper powder .
Mix well .
Add the crushed cumin seeds/jeera and kasoori methi to it. Knead it into a dough.
3) Make small balls out of the dough.
Spread them into rounds with the help of rolling pins.
Or make a big ball and then roll into bigger sheet . Use a cutter or back of lid to cut into desired shapes.
4) Take a oven safe pan and then cover it with a parchment paper.Place them and bake in oven at 350 degree Fahrenheit(170 degree celsuis) for 18-20 minutes.
Or Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Then place them in the oil once it is brown on one side flip to the other side . Once it gets fried then take it on to kitchen towel to remove excess oil.
I love to spread some pickle on it and eat tastes best.
Serves best with tea or coffee.
