BISIBELE BATH
INGREDIENTS:
Rice 1 cup
Toor dal/kandipappu 3/4 cup
Carrot 1 (chopped)
Green peas fistful
Salt as needed
Bisi bella bath powder 1 tbsp(adjust)
FOR TEMPERING:
Ghee/clarified butter 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 1tsp
Cashew nuts 5-6
Onion 1(small)
Capsicum 1/4(chopped)
Curry leaves 1 sprig
PREPARATION:
1) Cook rice and toor dal together.
2) Cook carrot, beans and green peas and keep aside.
3) Add cooked vegetables to the rice and dal mixture.
Now add the bisibele bath powder, tamarind extract and salt to it.
Reduce the flame to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
4) Heat ghee in a pan .Add mustard seeds once they splutter add urad dal, cashew nuts , onion and capsicum. Saute till the onions turn transparent and capsicum leaves the raw smell.
Add the tempering to the bisibella bath.
Serve with papad
