A women with postivity and passion , made her to start her blog 'PADHU'S KITCHEN". Padhu Sankar's work is a Google for Indian recipes you name it ,you have it. Padhu specifies on how to simplify and plan cooking that is the main reason for people to love her work. She is a Superwomen who spreads her wings to health, art and gardening. She shares tips with natural ingredients to enhance our looks. Her food styling has a trade mark specially when it comes to kids menu.( She uses vegetables to make smileys and emoticons) She shares her knowledge in art by conducting many classes and seminars for women and children.

DIVS: HOW WAS YOUR BLOG BORN?
PADHU: Cooking is not just my passion, it is therapeutic to me. I wanted to share my knowledge of cooking with others, so started WWW.PADHUSKITCHEN.COM in 2008. It was not planned. I started Padhuskitchen on a whim to document my culinary experiments and our family recipes, so that it will be useful not for my kids but others out there also. As I already had a blog on health and beauty, starting PadhusKitchen was not difficult for me.
DIVS: HOW FOODIE ARE YOU?
PADHU: I talk about food most of the time. I love cooking from scratch. I am lucky to be living in a place where there are people from different states, so I get an opportunity to taste and learn about other state cuisines. When I go abroad, I usually do not eat Indian food outside, I love to taste the local cuisine.
DIVS: WHEN YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW RECIPE, WHAT MAKES YOU TRY IT?
PADHU: First I will look at the ingredients needed for the recipe. I will try it only, if it is easily available and if it is healthy. My preference is always for simple healthy recipes.
DIVS: WHAT WAS THE FIRST THING YOU MADE THAT GOT APPLAUSE?
PADHU: I prepared Vermicelli payasam, when I was in college got me lot of appreciations from family member.
DIVS: IF YOU ARE LOST IN AN ISLAND WITH JUST COCONUT WHAT WOULD YOU MAKE OUT OF IT TO SURVIVE?
PADHU: I love tender coconut water and tender coconut. I can survive on that for days together.
DIVS: WHAT IS THE ONE BLOGGER SUPER POWER YOU LIKE TO HAVE?
PADHU: Blogging is not easy. It involves many works like cooking, food styling, photography, editing , writing and all the technical aspects. I wish I had more energy and more technical knowledge.
DIVS: IF YOU WERE TO GO ON A DATE WITH YOUR HUSBAND . WHICH RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD YOU WOULD PREFER?
PADHU: I would like to go to and Italian restaurant or Mexican restaurant with good ambiance and music.
DIVS: FINALLY HOW IS YOUR BLOG DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?
PADHU: From what people say, most of my recipes are quick, easy and healthy with simple ingredients but delivers amazing results. People write to me that if they need simple and healthy recipes, they head to PadhusKitchen.
1)3 ingredients that go into your everyday cooking?
- Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds and Turmeric powder.
2) Weirdest thing you ever ate?
- Not weird- I tried Sushi once but did not like it.
3) One food you can eat every day?
- Rice and dal
4) If I were to try one recipe from your blog, What would you suggest?
- Tamarind rice
5) Your lazy day meal?
- Tomato Rice
6) What do you do apart from blogging?
