KALE CHIPS
I love munching on to chips while watching a nice movie and sipping some hot and creamy freshly brewed coffee. Specially the winters demand such coziness. But we always end up thinking 😏about calories after we are done finishing the bowl of chips. I was looking for some easy and guilt free options . I never thought that something green can be so yummy. These kale chips are yummy, crispy, crunchy, addictive and above all these are low calorie snack 😎. What more can we ask for ! They are also low in fat and sodium when compared to packaged potato chips.
Kale is very rich in vitamins and minerals. So, don't forget about kale chips when u crave for something crunchy.Kale belongs to the cabbage family with beautiful and artistic curls at its edges. These chips are very easy to make as it can be made in 😌15 minutes. Clean, chop, toss and bake. Alter the recipe according to your tastebuds and creativity. I added garam masala instead of garlic powder which the main recipe demanded. We can add cayenne pepper, cheese, onion powder, paprika, and the list goes on. Just ignite your light bulb 😉 and enjoy the guilt free green beauties. So, jump into your aprons and start baking.
INGREDIENTS:
Kale leaves 1 cup
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Olive oil 1 tsp
Salt a pinch
PROCEDURE:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit (175 degree celsius)
2) Remove the stem and then chop the leaves into bite size pieces.
3) Wash the leaves and then dry them completely without any moisture using a paper towel.
4) Now drizzle oil, salt and garam masala . Toss the leaves well.
5) Spread them on the baking sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes.
The edges should turn into brown color make sure not to burn the leaves.
