POHA/ ATUKULU UPMA


INGREDIENTS:
Thin Poha/atukulu                  2 cups
Onion                                      1(chopped)
Green chilies                           3
Curry leaves                            1 sprig
Salt                                          as needed
Turmeric                                 1 pinch
Water                                      for washing

FOR TEMPERING:
Mustard seeds                         1 tsp
Cumin seeds                           1 tsp
Urad dal                                  1 tsp
Chana dal                                1 tsp

PROCEDURE:
1) Wash poha/atukulu in water for 2 times.
Strain water and keep aside.

2) Heat oil in a pan. Now add the mustard seeds once they splutter then add the cumin seeds,chana dal and urad dal. 
Once they turn golden brown.
3)Now add the onion , green chilies  and curry leaves.

Once onion turns transparent , add turmeric powder, salt .
Mix well.
4)Add the washed poha/atukulu to it. 
Saute for 2-3 minutes. 

I like it with lemon juice and sev sprinkled.
If  you are using thick poha/atukulu then wash and soak in water for 5 minutes.
