MASALA RICE
INGREDIENTS:
Basmathi rice 2 cups
Onion 1
Green chilies 4
Bay leaves 2
Cloves 4
Cinamon stick 1/2 " inch
Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Salt as needed
Water 3 cups
PROCEDURE:
1) Wash and soak basmathi rice for 30 minutes.
2) Chop onion and green chilies length wise.
3) Melt ghee in a pan. Then add the bay leaves, cloves, star anise and cinnamon stick.
Saute for 1 minute (we can smell nice aroma). Add the ginger-garlic paste.
4)Now add the chopped onions and green chilies to it. Saute until the onion turns golden brown for
2-3 minutes.
5) Now drain the water from rice and add it to the pan .Saute for 2 minute.
6)Now add the water and salt.
Cover with lid and cook on medium flame until the water is absorbed.
