BANGALA DUMPA PITTU/ POTATO PITTU
INGREDIENTS::
Potatoes 2(big )
Onions 1 (medium)
Red chilies 2
Green chilies 3(chopped)
Coriander leaves 2 tsp(finely chopped)
Salt as needed
FOR TEMPERING::
Oil 2 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp
Chana dal 1 tsp
Cashew nuts 8 (made to half)
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
PROCEDURE::
1) Boil the potatoes and mash them to 70 %.
2)Now heat oil in pan, now add the mustard seeds once they splutter then add the cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal and cashew nuts. Saute until they turn golden brown.
3) Now add the garlic pieces fry for 1 minute. Add the onion pieces once they turn transparent now add the red chilies and green chilies.
Fry for 2 minutes.
4)Add the turmeric powder, salt and coriander leaves.
5)Finally add the mashed potatoes to it. Mix well with the tempering and let it get cooked for 7-8 minutes.
Turn off heat and serve with rice/chapathi.
