POTATO GREEN PEAS CURRY



INGREDIENTS::
Potatoes                           2
Green peas                       1 cup
Onion                               1
Tomatoes                         2

Green chilies                     2
Dhania powder                 1 tsp
Red chilly powder             1 tsp
Salt                                  as needed
Oil                                    2 tsp

FOR TEMPERING::
Mustard seeds                 1 tsp
Cumin seeds                    1 tsp
Urad dal                          1 tsp
Chana dal                        1 tsp

PROCEDURE::
1)  Heat oil in a pan, then add the mustard seeds once they splutter then add the cumin seeds, urad dal and chana dal. Fry till they turn golden brown.
Now add the onion and green chilies once onion turns transparent then add the tomatoes and salt. Cover the little and cook until the tomatoes turn mushy.


2)Now add the potato pieces , red chilly powder ,dhania powder to them.
Mix well and add little water. Cover the lid and let it get cooked for 10 minutes mixing in between.

3) Now add the green peas to it and let cook them for 3-4 minutes( i used frozen peas)
Check for the consistency of the gravy of the curry. If u want it to be thick cook for 3-4 minutes extra .


Serves great with chapathi/ rice.
