Chaat!! who doesn't love them. I love chaat recipes as lunch , snack or dinner. Specially the winters are wonderful when accompanied with chaat recipes. Bhel puri, Chaat, sev puri, tikkis , samosa, pani puri what not my mouth started watering 😋 now. Aren't they so yummy when you ignore the calories 😉 . Street food is imbibed in our culture. Going out with family and having them followed with kulfi/lassis. I think this culture is fading away gradually. Kids are inclining towards french fries, cakes, milkshakes. I wonder culture of Indian street food comes around as boomerang .
But no chaat is complete without sweet chutney or green chutney. I usually make chutneys in a lot and save. We have so many versions of chutney recipes . I like my sweet chutney with dates. I made half the quantity of what I mentioned in the recipe . I gave the recipe for 1 full bottle which we can store and use for 1 month. With chutneys and boiled potatoes in hand it is chaat and cheat day every day.Note down the ingredients and jump into your aprons.

We can pressure cook the tamarind and dates for 3 whistles or add them to boiling water and cook for 10-15 minutes until they are cooked.
Let them cool.
2) Now grind them into smooth paste .
3) In a pan, add the tamarind-dates paste and jaggery .
