BREAD PANEER ROLL
When i need a quick snack i always rely on this rolls. For the first time when i said that i am going to make paneer rolls no body was interested so i thought of making in a small quantity. I started with 5 slices of bread and ended up with the whole bread loaf 😳 . Surprisingly my son loved them soooo much. Apart from paneer butter masala there is no place for paneer in my kitchen.
We always end up skipping dinner when i make them for evening snacks. I saw this recipe here. I modified it according to my family's taste buds. I made them with brown bread but white bread gives a nice taste to them. If you don't have amchur powder add little lemon juice. Adding masala suppresses the milky smell of paneer (which is the main reason we don't like paneer).
Bread slices 5
Paneer 1 cup
Onion 1 small
Coriander leaves few (chopped)
Chilly powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Amchur powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Milk 2 tsp
Salt as needed
Butter 1 tbsp
PROCEDURE:
1) Crumble the paneer . If using the frozen paneer then place it in hot water until it becomes soft and fresh. Remove it from water and then crumble it.
2) Now add the onion pieces, chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, amchur powder, garam masala, milk, salt and coriander leaves. Adding milk gives moisture to the paneer mixture.
Mix well and set aside.
3) Now trim the brown part of the bread.

Use a rolling pin and roll the bread slice as thin as possible.
I used brown bread.
4) Now take the paneer mixture and spread it in thin coating over the tolled bread.
5)Now roll the bread tightly from one end making sure the mixture doesn't come out of the edges.
Use water to seal the edges of the bread.
(I was already eating one batch of snack while rolling)
6) Now repeat the process for the remaining bread slices.
7) Apply butter to the rolled bread and place it on tawa/pan.
Make sure to toast it on all sides of the bread.
8) Serve the bread rolls with green chutney or simply with tomato ketchup..
