Oats                                       11/2 cup
Carrot                                     1
Beans                                      4
Green peas                              less than 1/4 cup
Onion                                      1

Green chilies                            3
Curry leaves                            1 sprig
Cloves(optional)                      2
1/2"Cinnamon(optional)           1
Salt                                         as required
Water                                    3/4 cup
Mustard seeds                     1 tsp
Cumin seeds                        1 tsp
Chana dal                            1 tsp
Urad dal                              1tsp
Oil                                       2 tsp

1)Dry roast the oats in a pan, till the color changes.

2)In a pan add oil and once it is hot add mustard seeds once they splutter add cumin, chana dal , urad dal,cloves and cinnamon.

Now add the onion, green chilies and curry leaves fry till the onion turns transparent.
3)Add carrot, beans and green peas. Add little water and let the vegetables get cooked.
Boil the vegetables and directly add them to the tempering.

4)Now add water and salt.

5)Finally add oats and let it get cooked covered for 2 minutes. (check in between)
    If needed cook it for still 2-3 minutes.

 *** I use cloves and cinnamon so that the smell of the oats can be dominated.
 ***We roast oats to prevent the stickiness.
