SANKRANTHI/ PONGAL RECIPES

                       Sankranthi / Pongal/Lohri is celebrated through out India. It is celebrated for the transition of the sun into zodiacal sign Makara. After sankranthi the days are considered to be long. In Andhra Pradesh it is celebrated for 3 days  Bhogi, Sankranthi and kanuma. On the day of Bhogi  kids collect the wood and branches . Then they make them as campfire. Sankranthi is the day of joy because all the family meets . The house is crowded with daughters, son-in-laws, grand kids, uncles, aunts. Delicious food,  movies and fun filled conversations what more can we expect. On the day of Kanuma son-in-laws are pampered with delicious foods.
