MUSHROOM MATAR BIRYANI
INGREDIENTS::
Mushrooms 3/4 -1 cup
Matar/Green peas 1/4 cup
Rice 2 cups
Water 33/4 cups
Onion 1 medium
Tomato 1
Ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp
Chilly powder 1/4 tsp
Mint leaves less than 1/4 cup
Coriander leaves less than 1/4 cup
Whole garam masala::
Bay leaf 1
Cloves 3
Cinnamon stick 1
FOR MARINATION::
Lemon juice 1tsp
Chilly powder 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
curd 2 tsp
PROCEDURE::
1)Soak the washed basmathi rice for 30 minutes.
2)Now in a pressure cooker add the ghee once it melts add all the whole garam masala.
3)Then add the onion , ginger-garlic paste.
4)Once they turn tranparent then add the tomato pieces. Once they get cooked add the Mint leaves, coriader leaves, green peas and the marinated mushroom pieces.Saute for 2-3 minutes.
5)Then finally add the soaked basmathi rice. Saute for 2 minutes and then add the water and salt.
6)Wait for 1 whistle .
SERVE WITH RAITA
