TOMATO DAL

                   

INGREDIENTS::
Toor dal                      1 cup
Tomatoes                     3
Onion                          1 medium
Salt                              as required


FOR TEMPERING::
Mustard seeds                 1 tsp
Cumin seeds                    1 tsp
Red chilies                       3
Curry leaves                    1 sprig
Asefotide                         1 pinch

PROCEDURE::
1)In a pressure cooker add the dal and tomatoes cook for 3 whistles.

2)Now in a tawa add the oil and when hot add the mustard seeds and once they splutter add the cumin , garlic and onion.
3)When the onion turns transparent then add the red chilies,asefotide and curry leaves.
4)Now add the dal tomato mixture and salt  to it. And let it get cooked for 5- 10 minutes.

                 SERVE WITH RICE AND DOLLOP OF GHEE
