SOOJI-MANGO HALWA


INGREDIENTS::
Sooji/Rava                         1 cup
Mango pulp                        1/2 cup(adjust according to your taste buds)              
Sugar                                 11/2 cups
Salt                                     a pinch
Water/milk                          21/2 cups
Cardamom powder             1/2 tsp
Ghee/Butter                        1/2 cup

PROCEDURE::
1)In a pan, let ghee/butter melt. Roast sooji until it turns into golden color and nice aroma comes out.(approx 3-4 mins, in  medium flame)


2)Now add the sugar to it.Adding sugar prevents the halwa from getting into lumps.Mix well.

3)Now add the water and mango pulp to it.Mix well.Add little salt to it.

Cover the lid and cook for 5-6 minutes. Making sure to mix in between.
4)Finally before turning off add the cardamom powder.Cook for 1 minute.
Once the halwa starts to leave the edges of the pan , then turn off.


5)Grease a tray and then transfer the halwa into the tray. Let it set for 20 minutes.
Then cut them into pieces.

Just serve as it is.
