BREAD BHAJJI
INGREDIENTS::
Bread slices 4
Besan 1/2 cup
Rice flour 1/4 cup
Salt as needed
Baking soda 1 pinch
Carom seeds/ajwain 1 tsp
Red chilly powder 1 tsp
Oil for deep frying
PROCEDURE::
1)Cut the brown edges of the bread . Then cut into 4 pieces diagonally taking care not to press the bread hard, doing so makes the bread to loose it spongy texture.
3) Now mix besan, rice flour, salt, red chilly powder,hot oil, baking soda and ajwain.Mix well to avoid lumps. Make the batter into pakodi consistency.
4)Now dip the bread slices in the batter and fry them in the oil until golden brown on both the sides medium to high heat. Don't cook on low heat because bread will absorb all the oil and the bhajji will become oily.
5)Take the bhaji on a plate with kitchen towel to drain the excess oil.
SERVE WITH KETCHUP
