MINT-COCONUT CHUTNEY


INGREDIENTS::
Mint leaves                                    1/2 cup
Shredded Coconut                          1/2 cup
Coriander leaves                             1/2 cup
Tamarind extract                            1/2 tsp
Green chilies                                   4
Fried gram dal/Potnala pappu            1 tsp               
Salt                                                as needed
FOR TEMPERING::
Mustard seeds                               1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds                                 1/4 tsp
Urad dal                                        1/4 tsp
Curry leaves                                  1 sprig
Oil                                                1 tsp

PROCEDURE::
1)Clean and wash the mint and coriander leaves.
Heat a oil in a pan and then add the mint and coriander leaves to it. 
Saute the leaves until they reduce in the volume. Set aside.
2)Now grind the coconut, mint-coriander leaves,tamarind,green chilies , potnala pappu and salt.
Add little water and then grind it.
3)Now heat oil in a pan and do the tempering.
4)Finally add the tempering to the chutney.

                   TASTES GREAT WITH PUNUGULU OR IDLI
