VADIYALA KOORA/GUJARATI VADI CURRY


INGREDIENTS::
Vadiyalu/Gujarathi vadi                        100 gms
Onion                                                1 medium
Green chilies                                      3
Tomato                                             2 medium
Ginger-garlic paste                             1 tsp
Chilly powder                                    1 tsp
Curry leaves                                      1 sprig
Oil                                                    11/2 tsp
Salt                                                   as needed

FOR TEMPERING::
Mustard seeds                                   1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds                                      1/2 tsp
Urad dal                                             1/2 tsp

PROCEDURE::
1) Heat 1/2 tsp of oil in a pan then fry the vadiyalu/Vadi in them until they turn golden brown.

2)Heat oil in a pan, then add the mustard seeds let them splutter , then add the cumin seeds, urad dal  and curry leaves.
3)Now add the onion pieces , let them turn transparent then add the ginger-garlic paste , chilies .
Saute for 1 minute.
4)Now add the tomato pieces and salt.Cook covered until they turn mushy.

5)Add the chilly powder and water .
 Let it boil then add the fried vadi to them and cook for 2 minutes.

Add coriander leaves and turn off the heat.

          SERVE WITH RICE.
