KADAI BHENDI


INGREDIENTS::
Okra/Bendakayalu                        500 gms
Onion                                         1(big chopped)
Tomatoes                                    3
Bell pepper                                   1
Green chilies                                2
Coriander leaves                           few
Cashew nuts                                8-10
Coriander powder                        1 tsp
Cumin powder                             1 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste                       1 tsp
Turmeric                                     1/4 tsp
Garam masala                              3/4 tsp
Salt                                             as needed
Oil                                              3 tsp(adjust)


PROCEDURE::
1)Nip the okra/Bendakayalu  and then cut them to bit size.
Now pat dry them and fry in oil to reduce the stickiness but don't let them change the color.Keep aside.
Grind the tomatoes and cashew nuts together.Make fine paste.
               
       
2) Heat oil in a pan then add the mustard seeds , let them splutter then add the cumin seeds.
Add the onion ,green chilies ,let them turn transparent .Add the ginger-garlic paste,tumeric and salt. Saute for 1 minute.
3)Now add the tomato paste cook for 1 minute,then add the coriander powder,cumin powder, chilly powder mix well and then cook for 4-5 minutes so that the tomato paste gets cooked.



4)Now add the chopped bell pepper/capsicum saute for 2-3 minutes
Add the fried okra/bendakayalu and coriander leaves,cook for 4 minutes in low flame until the okra gets cooked. 

Finally add the garam masala to it . Turn off heat.

                         SERVE WITH STEAMED RICE OR ROTI
